A Letter From Keith Kelly
Dear Spartanburg County Conservatives,
I’m writing today to ask for your vote in next Tuesday’s Republican Primary.
I’m sure you’re frustrated right now. A lot of people want to toss out every incumbent. Truthfully, I’m just as frustrated. Politicians at both the federal and state level are driving our economy into the ground. Pointless spending, government takeovers and unfulfilled promises are killing any opportunity for job creation.
I simply ask that you take the time to look at my conservative record before voting on Tuesday.
Spending Limits: I pushed legislation to limit the amount of money the politicians can spend and the amount government grow each year.
Spending Transparency: I enthusiastically supported a bill to put all votes on the record so that we know exactly which politicians are pushing wasteful spending projects that are exploding our budgets and
wasting your money.
Fighting Washington: I pushed legislation that gives our Attorney General the ability to fight for our rights against liberal government intrusion.
Illegal Immigration: In 2008 I supported what newspapers called “the toughest immigration law in the nation.” Now that the federal government is failing to fulfill its promises, I’m backing a new Arizona style law that lets state and local law enforcement detain suspected illegal immigrants.
Tax Reform: I want to completely scrap and rewrite South Carolina’s job killing tax code.
Keeping Families Safe: I personally helped write and push the new criminal sentencing bill that keeps violent criminals in prison longer while saving your tax dollars.
