A Note from Whitney
Dear Friends,
I can’t believe it’s been two years since my sisters and I first wrote asking you to vote for our Dad, Keith Kelly. At that time I attended the University of South Carolina and worked part-time at the State House for Representative Scott Talley. When Dad was elected, he joined me at the State House and it was awesome watching him at work. I was very proud of how hard he worked for Spartanburg County and I know you are too.
Today I’m writing to give you 5 more reasons you should vote for my dad:
1. Dad is a conservative. He still gets mad when we leave the lights on or just stand there with the refrigerator door open. He took that same attitude to the State House and I watched him vote to cut grocery and income taxes last year by $260 Million. This year he pushed spending caps so that the big-spending politicians stop wasting our tax dollars on their pet projects.
2. Dad is honest. While working at the State House, I saw many politicians concentrate on their own political agendas instead of their constituents. That’s not Dad. Even when it’s not the popular thing to do among his colleagues and when the special interests get mad, he always votes for Spartanburg County.
3. Dad has a deep love for Spartanburg’s schools. Over the last few weeks you have been receiving a lot of attack mail about Dad. That group SCRG is attacking Dad because he keeps voting against their programs that will harm schools like Woodruff, Dorman, and Byrnes High Schools. Please don’t believe the lies about Dad. He is a good man and I’m very proud of the way he
4. Dad is hardworking. I am always amazed by his ability to balance his legislative, work, and family lives. I don’t know how he does it, but he does it well. He is an amazing father. He never misses one of Hannah’s soccer games and he’s always there for Lillie and me when we need him. As a legislator, he always puts constituent services first. Spartanburg families know they can count on Dad.
5. Dad is a conservative…did I mention that yet? I’m getting married next month and even though he has to pay for a big wedding, Dad voted against a legislative pay increase this year. That’s just how Dad is. He’s there to serve you, not to make money or climb the political ladder.
Keith Kelly is an amazing Dad and a wonderful State Representative. Please get out and vote in the Republican primary next Tuesday.
