re. SCRG & Roger Nutt
I've received in the mail about Keith Kelly 2 (maybe 3) cost efficient mailings paid for by Kelly for State House .
I've received 2 mailings, 8-1/2 x 11 glossy newsletter style pages, promoting Roger Nutt paid for by the South Carolinians for Responsible Government and ZERO mailings paid for by the Nutt campaign. Now Nutt says he has no agreement with SCRG, but since I see his signs plastered all over the roadways and his campaign has sent no mailings, it has to make one wonder...
I fail to see why Jason Spencer's articles weren't front page news in the print media. It is clear that out of state interests are seriously interested in controlling the politics in South Carolina. Every South Carolinian should be outraged at this attempt at a "hostile takeover" to use stock market terms - and it is a money/power issue. The people who live here, raise their families here, pour out their heart and blood for their families and neighbors should be told the truth about the games that are being played out in Columbia but manipulated from New York City. SCRG won't open their books, won't say who their contributors are, yet they can openly campaign in South Carolina without fear of being called into account.
I'll tell you what, I'm thankful that Keith Kelly has the integrity to work for his constituents rather than some Lex Luther from Gotham City.
